Lascurain or the brevity of power

(2005-2010)

Synopsis

On February 19, 1913, in the midst of a serious political and military crisis, the Minister of Foreign Relations, Pedro Lascurain, occupied the Presidency of Mexico for 45 minutes (the peak of political power in the country). Starting from this historical fact, the work proposes an imaginary plot about what could have happened during those three quarters of an hour and explores the question: what changes occur in the soul of the ruler during his mandate? Because, in the relativity of political times, Pedro Lascurain's 45 minutes are enough to portray the dizzying and crazy transformation that any other President undergoes in the 6 years that his mandate lasts.
